In the same way the serpent was raised up by Moses in the Old Testament, and brought physical salvation, Jesus was lifted up, on an old rugged cross, and brings eternal salvation. For those who believe Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God, that salvation heals us both spiritually, and eventually physically.
