Part of why we shouldn't condemn others is simply that it doesn't work; it breaks relationships down and doesn't allow people to be open and honest about their struggles. Jesus gives us a vision of the church as a hospital for sinners, as we seek health and holiness, but aren't surprised to find other sick and hurting people.
