We finish up our examination of the Hebrew Scriptures regarding what the Jews were expecting about the coming Kingdom. Though Yahweh wasn’t actively speaking to them through more prophets at this point in history, He had left them with Scripture that contained information about the future so they could have long-range hope and endure their tough situation. The Jews during this period provide a model for how we are to live. We conclude the session by examining how we should be reading Scripture. How does God communicate? How does He treat His words?
