The world of games steps up just in time to save us from ourselves this week as social distancing (and remote recording!) ensues with the arrival of Animal Crossing: New Horizons and DOOM Eternal today, and Persona 5 Royal to come in just 10 days time. We've got a review round-up of these three titles and, hint hint, they're all incredible. The news cycle begins just a day after we recorded last week's episode, where it was announced that E3 2020 has been officially cancelled. While this is significant hamper on industry insiders, us outsiders will surely still get our fill in the form of online versions of the announcements we would have tuned in for in June. And those all begin with huge deep dives and breakdowns of both Microsoft and Sony's next gen consoles, of which we get really nitty-gritty into the technical details and offer some high level thoughts on the power profiles and feature sets of these beastly machines. Zen processors, RDNA 2.0 graphics, SSDs, oh my! After we try to break down the technical gobbledygook, we throw some shade at GameStop yet again as reporting tells us the company's upper management is doing some pretty not cool stuff in the wake of COVID-19, Gabe Newell of Valve is pretty sure the next big thing for games is interfacing directly with your brain's visual cortex, and the rumor mill contains not one, but TWO spicy Silent Hill rumors.
