Dr. Scott McNeal (Dr. M) talks with Mrs. Alexis “Rae Rae” Adams (formerly Barber). Alexis is new college graduate, a new bride, a new public-school educator, and a former D-II student-athlete in XC and track & field at Southwest Baptist University, MO.

Alexis is a 2 x All-American. 4 x national qualifier (3 indoor, 1 in XC), and 7 x GLVC champion (mixing it up in the DMR and 1500).  And in all cases sporting a fresh coat of nail polish and spiffy hair-ribbon.

Join Alexis as she reflects on what it takes to engage new life challenges both in and out of sports.

Alexis reflects on personal identity issues and perfectionism in sport, academics, and in life in general.

"Rae Rae" ponders life after losing her father and how that loss and other challenges take her to a point of deep brokenness and…in the end… freedom.
