Session 423: Cosmic Channels and the "Big Entity" Energy

Welcome to a deep dive into Session 423 of The Early Sessions Book 9 of the Seth Material, recorded on the sweltering, humid night of July 17, 1968. If you thought your summer heatwaves were intense, imagine being Jane Roberts, exhausted from the humidity, only to have a high-pitched, "distant" version of Seth’s larger entity decide to drop by for a chat.

The Vibes and the Venue

The atmosphere was thick, it had just rained, and Jane was feeling pretty drained. Before the session even officially kicked off, she was already having "flashes" and brief out-of-body projections. Talk about a "chilling" prelude to a Wednesday night!

• The Atmospheric Friction: The entity explained that while time and space don't really separate us from them, "emotional friction" does.
• The Weather Report: In the entity's world, friction is like storms of fear, doubt, or anger. To get a clear signal, they need a "neutral area" without the static of human panic.
• The Channel: The entity noted, "The window is clearer and more transparent, and the channels are therefore clearer."
• A New Voice: Unlike the usual Seth, this personality had a voice that was high, thin, and had a habit of ending sentences on an upbeat—almost like a cosmic valley girl, but much more profound.

Fear is So "Last Season"

One of the most mind-bending parts of this session is how the entity views our human emotions. They aren't trying to be mean; they just think we’re using our energy in a really "primitive" way.

• Primitive Energy: The entity stated, "We consider fear an extremely primitive use of energy, as you might consider fire primitive in comparison to nuclear activity."
• The Barrier: Fear is basically a panic-induced wall that we throw up. It’s got "tremendous force," but it’s mostly just getting in our way.
• Becoming Notable: Apparently, when we drop the fear, our "emanations" get more brilliant. We basically turn into a giant neon sign in the multiverse that says, "Hey, over here! Send help!"

Time and the "Solid Line" Illusion

The entity also took a moment to roast our concept of time. To them, our 24-hour clocks and calendars are a bit of a "confining experience."

• Subjective Reality: "To understand your time, we would have to enter into it completely, for it has no meaning but for your subjective experience of it."
• The Life Map: We tend to see ourselves existing on a "solid line" between birth and death. The entity sees this as a self-imposed limitation they’ve chosen to skip.
• Identity Sharing: The entity doesn't experience our time directly but gets the "conceptual realization" of it by chatting with other parts of its identity that have lived it.

The Cosmic Body Shop

The session ended with some literal "hands-on" work. Jane experienced some wild physical sensations as the entity used her body to perform a bit of energetic maintenance.

• The Pyramid Effect: Jane felt a vertical cone or pyramid rising above her head, and even a horizontal one radiating forward from behind her eyes.
• The Hands Situation: At one point, Jane’s trance was so deep she had to "forcibly pull her hands apart" with significant effort.
• The Energy Flush: The entity mentioned they were "attempting to drain negative qualities and elements from the system" to replace them with positive ones, specifically targeting Jane’s collarbone, elbow, knee, and ankle.
