▣ 금요도훈 - 종도사님 말씀

수행을 하는 방법은 어려운 법이 아니에요. 어려운 무슨 뭐 수행 철학이 있는게 아니야. 자세를 반듯하게 하고, 나는 그 무엇에도 항복하지 않겠다는 강한 의지를 가지고. 이런 강력한 의지와 무너지지 않는 심법으로 진실되고 거짓 없는 마음, 깨어있는 마음, 공경하고 믿는 마음, ‘내가 진리 자체다’라는 믿음으로 읽으면 된다.

Meditation is not something esoteric. Practicing meditation does not require any complex meditation philosophy. Straighten your posture and adopt an iron resolve to surrender to nothing. Take this strong will and resilient mindset and practice meditation with a truthful and sincere mind, fully awake, with reverence and faith, believing, ‘I am the truth itself.’

♥ straighten[stréitn] 몸을 바르게 펴다

♥ posture [pάstʃǝr] 자세, 자태

♥ adopt [ǝdάpt] 채택하다 받아들이다

♥ iron [áiǝrn] 철석 같은

♥ resolve [rizάlv] 결심, 결의

♥surrender [sǝréndǝr] 적에게 요새를 내어주다, 포기하다, 항복하다

*surrender oneself to despair 자포자기에 빠지다.

*surrender oneself to grief 비탄에 잠기다

♥ resilient [rizíljǝnt] 곧 원기를 회복하는, 탄성있는

♥ mindset 심적경향, 사고

♥ truthful [trúːθfǝl] 진실한

Meditation is not 수행은 아니다

Practicing meditation 수행을 실행(실천하는 것은)
