Bernardo asks a lot of people what makes them happy, but for him it’s design. The Venezuelan born-and-raised designer grew up trying to merge a love of computer science and art. Later he came to Philadelphia to attend Philadelphia University and fell in love with the city. He is now the principal of This Makes Me Happy, a studio focusing on branding, type and patterns. He also teaches at Moore College of Art and Design and is the Sponsorship Chair for AIGA Philadelphia. And somewhere along the way he finds time to record a podcast called This Makes Me Happy, where he talks with people about what in their lives makes them happy. Bernardo joins the show for a chat about the definition of an introvert and getting your dream job only to find it’s not all it’s cracked up to be.
