"The Lonely Island is a now a household name, because their Digital shorts on Saturday Night Live have gathered thousands of millions of views. The real life names of the comedy performers are: Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, and Jorma Taccone. On December 17, 2005 Schaeffer directed his fellow members along with Chris Parnell who also helped write the script for their hit, "Lazy Sunday." Earlier that same year, from October to April the guys had already had online success with their OC parody called, "The 'Bu" on Channel 101. Channel 101 was a self publishing comedy festival that allowed LA up-and-comers to create, screen, and continue their own miniature television shows that were shared online."
