#43: Katie Lou McCabe - Multi Disciplinary Artist

Listen Later

Katie Lou McCabe is an artist exploring colour and sound in its many forms, including music, painting, stories, film, photography and installations. She makes worlds from liquid light on overhead projects, captures the worlds around her through experimental darkroom photography, and in 2015 she was commissioned by Kit Monkman to create visuals for Paolo Nutini’s summer tour.

In this episode we discuss early experiences that lead her to developing her installations, we chat about the way she creates her work, allowing it to form slowly over time, and about the importance of light and darkness in all art forms.
