In this episode of Brave & Bloom, I’m talking about mom guilt and why it feels so heavy, especially when we’re doing our best. I share how guilt is often tied to past experiences, emotional patterns, and our inner child, not a reflection of our worth or love as mothers. We explore what it looks like to calm the nervous system, release guilt that doesn’t belong to us, and trust that our children are safe, loved, and supported even when we’re not doing everything ourselves.
Mom guilt is not who I am. It’s an emotion I’m carrying.Mom guilt is often an interpretation of someone else’s emotions or a past version of myself. When I feel guilt, I’m usually carrying feelings that don’t actually belong to me in the present moment.
Healing mom guilt starts with calming my inner child. To release guilt, I have to go inward, soothe the younger part of me, and remind my body that I am safe, loved, and enough. Regulating my nervous system allows guilt to soften instead of spiral.
I can love my child deeply without carrying everything alone. My baby is safe, loved, and supported even when I’m not physically present. Allowing others to love my child doesn’t replace me. It strengthens our village and relieves unnecessary guilt.
If mom guilt has been weighing on your heart, this episode is a gentle reminder that you are enough and you don’t have to carry it all alone.
