43. Stereotypes: Absent Black Fathers

Listen Later

Are Black fathers missing? Are they absent?

Nope. Not at all. Or at least, not anymore than any other group of people.

In this week's episode, we talk about the stereotype that Black fathers are missing or absent from their kids lives. Here are some things we discuss:

  • Where the stereotype comes from
  • Why it's not true
  • Why it's still being perpetuated
  • How we can help change the narrative
  • We also discussed Black congressman and activist, John Lewis, as our Black History Month highlight!
