That night, after hours of stress free pool time, I realized something startling. I was actually starting to like LA. New Yorkers are trained to hate Los Angeles. This is supposed to be the place where intellect is ridiculed and who you date and what you look like is revered. Yet, here we were having the time of our lives. The men were happy, the homes were huge, the bags looked great. Maybe that was enough. The weather moves from west to east. Was it a just matter of time before the truth blew across Manhattan?
