43. The Universe is Breathing Me

I am not so much breathing

as the Universe seems to Be,

breathing me.

I don’t have to attempt to will it,

the Cosmic Christ’s outpouring fills it.

Thus, to be breathed is grace,

it is a gift that’s given free.

The universal offsetting

balance is also grace

always yin, always yang,

humans breathing, breathing trees.

Take a moment, watch yourself be breathed.

In and out

breath’s unrelenting tide.

Makes you wonder what is the point

of consciousness’ breath-less ride.?

It will not remain us forever clinging

to personas, to egos, to separate ‘I’s.

But in Being breathed… as a grace.

like Eckhart says, we’re “One With Life”.*

As we consciously perceive the Universe breath,

we form a relationship with Spirit.

And join the dance…

of Just What Is.

Realizing not in our thoughts

but in loving awareness,**

we are fulfilled.
