Our interpretation of what the Bible has to say about who women are, what a woman's purpose is and our roles in society, church, leadership, family and communities is often unclear at best and destructive at worst. Dana Bort and Sherri Brown led a Biblical Womanhood Retreat that I had the privilege of attending for a few years and their perspective of what God thinks about women was very different from the assumptions I thought I knew. This is part one of a two-week episode series that I hope expands your understanding of what the Bible has to say about women – throughout history and in 2023.
