The heart is where we hide our deepest pain and our darkest sins. We keep these things hidden so no one else can see them, and we think that because it's hidden there, that it won't hurt anyone else. But that isn't true. When we hold onto these things, it actually causes more harm than good. You not only hurt yourself, but you hurt the ones you love, too. If you are holding onto anger, it is going to come out. It's important to guard your heart just as scripture says, because everything you do flows from it. Dig deep into your heart and ask the Lord to help you cleanse everything that shouldn't be there so you can discover the treasures hidden there and move forward in what God created you for - which is great and mighty things! AMEN!
