I hear people say that being a solo entrepreneur is hard work. Everyone says that. In fact, it seems today that the life of solo entrepreneurship is often romanticized. That may sell the allure of solo entrepreneurship but it unfortunately neglects reality. So many people want to be their own boss. Communities pitch themselves as being great places to become your own boss. But the one factor that is often glossed over is the hard work of being a solo entrepreneur. It's no cake walk. I have personally witnessed lots of businesses start and fail, and many of those failures can be attributed to the things I talk about in this podcast episode.
