The intersection of fitness, wellness, and community has always been important. This became particularly true for today’s guest on the FIERCE Mothers podcast during the pandemic.
Ngozi Ibe is a health and wellness enthusiast passionate about exploring the intersectionality of fitness and friendship. She loves spending time with her girlfriends and is always down for a good kiki or a good workout, sometimes at the same time. She is the creator of Tribefest30, a women’s wellness platform that utilizes the collective power of friendship to motivate and encourage women to realize their full potential.
Ngozi joins host Ugochi Onyewu to discuss how the past several years have impacted her, her wellness journey, and the thriving community she’s built despite the social restrictions. She discusses Tribe Fest 30, a series of live-streamed workouts that provided women with a safe and nurturing space to connect over a shared love of fitness and friends.
Ngozi also talks about being born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and moving to Nigeria when she was 12. There, she learned more about her Igbo heritage and discovered the importance of community. She speaks about the importance of interpersonal relationships between women, being inspired by Serena Williams, and how to balance life with goals.
