Ruthie McCoy was so close to leaving the Chicago housing developments and starting a new, more hope-filled life for herself. Life was finally looking up- she had been approved for SSI, she was undergoing treatment for mental health, and she was finally able to start dreaming of leaving the dangerous Grace Abbott Homes with her new windfall from SSI. Unfortunately for Ruthie, watchful eyes were everywhere and they noticed the little things that had changed over a few months, and criminal minds began to wonder...
