The sight loss condition Glaucoma is known as the silent thief of sight, as many people only notice they have a problem with their vision when it's too late.

Glaucoma Awareness Week is designed to encourage us to make regular visits for eye checks and to highlight the wealth of support that exists for those with the condition, their family and friends.

RNIB Connect Radio's Allan Russell spoke to Philip Bloom, a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon, to learn more about the condition and Karen Osborn, CEO of Glaucoma UK, to hear more about the charity's new look and support services.
