“I should have known better…”
This is one of the cruelest things our brain can say to us.
This life is one of experience and learning.
It’s about growing and hopefully moving past our mistakes.
Telling yourself essentially “I shouldn’t have had to learn that; I should have already known it” is antithetical to the process.

“I magnify things too much. I overstate and under-deliver both in my personal and professional life”
Another I see frequently is “Overgeneralization.”
Things like “This ALWAYS happens” or “I NEVER succeed.”
Today we will go through these and several more that I commonly see in my counseling & coaching practice.
But it’s not all bad.
I am also excited to share a powerful and simple mental tool you can use every day in real time to challenge negative thoughts.
It seems really straightforward and basic and it is.
But don’t let that fool you into thinking simple does not mean effective.
This exercise has been very effective in helping my clients change their conditioned beliefs and unlock new avenues of success.
So let’s all take a deep breath together and dive into our Common Thought Errors together.
Today we cover:
