Not only is she Harvard educated, but she has the voice of an angel and a musical mission that has touched the lives of many. We invited Bombay and Boston based artist and creator, Avanti Nagral to chat with us! Drawing inspiration from her background in Indian classical and soul music, Avanti thrives at the intersection of pop and soul. She challenges societal norms and aims to reclaim the way young girls see themselves, around the world. Avanti has also spoken and performed at the United Nations and TEDx conferences, been nominated for ‘Best Actress in a leading role’ at the National Theater Awards in India, and has performed at venues and festivals across India, the US, and Southeast Asia. Along with her many achievements, she has the most amazing sense of humor. We laughed about name pronunciations in our childhood past, reconnecting with old classmates, and our imperfections!
