Joining Barry on this special episode is Janelle Washington, an award-winning paper cut artist.  Janelle shares how she ventured into this intricate art form and how her subject matter focuses on Black history, poetry and stories of perseverance and strength.  She won the Caldecott Honor Award and the Coretta Scott King/John Steptoe New Talent Award for the picture book she illustrated,  "Choosing Brave:  How Mamie Till-Mobley and Emmett Till Sparked The Civil Rights Movement".
