Seja talks to her guest Cate Le Bon about how growing up listening to Crowded House and Neil Young made her a sucker for good melody, how Welsh language culture has evolved and the challenges of writing in a different language. Cate tells Seja about looking up to bands like the Super Furry Animals, Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci and Datblygu, how cathartic her other creative endeavours like ceramics and furniture making have been and how she uses different instruments to serve her songs. They chat about John Cale, obsessing over friends’ songs, singing in underwhelming keys, and their favourite keyboard sounds.
