How do you feel about having a large sum of money in a savings account? Does it make you proud, happy, or frustrated? Most people would definitely not say frustrated. However, when you consider the fact that the bank gives you a very small percentage of interest in your savings account while other investment vehicles pay considerably more in interest, it makes you wonder (and possibly frustrated). Think about it, if the money sitting in an account can earn 6% interest vs 0.05%, most people would much rather the 6%. However, that 6% option is not always readily available to everyday people.
