48. HOW to be Present - Marie's Philosophy & 4 Step Framework

A continuation of episode 47, this episode covers:

  • Why we have trouble being and staying present

  • Questions for journaling, referenced at the end are:

    • What are you paying attention to?
    • Where is the variation in your mind and your body (to what you are paying attention to)?
    • What is truly required of you, right now, according to your body and your circumstance?
    • How do you want to receive what is being presented, what you are being invited into?
    • And how do you want to give of yourself to it?
    • Steps outlined in the framework:

      1. Come back into & acknowledge your body
      2. Notice and acknowledge your mind (and its thoughts)
      3. Ask your body if what is pulling you is bringing you closer to the present, or further away
      4. Ground into the present with an action
      5. Bonus: remove distractions OR embrace them as part of your present.
