My High School wrestling coach used to always say  that common sense isn't common to some people. While that is true, when it comes to God, we have to be careful to not use what society deems as common or normal. God doesn't operate in the realm of normality. What's normal for God is that He always wins, and He's never been defeated. Take a listen to it doesn't make sense! It's a life changer.
