We’re sending our hearts to Minnesota.

This week we’re graciously joined by our bestie and Minneapolis resident Nicole, who shares her lived experience of the strength, resiliency, humanity, and dignity within her community during a time of intense tension and pain. From the impact of immigration enforcement actions and federal operations carried out by ICE in Minneapolis, which have caused immense grief across the city, to the everyday courage of her neighbors, Nicole offers an honest and deeply human look at what it means to stand together in solidarity and hope.

We stand with Minnesota, and especially with the immigrant communities and Black and Brown communities who are being targeted and traumatized by ICE’s actions.

We also want to honor the lives that were cut short as a direct result of ICE operations and enforcement, including Luis Gustavo Núñez Cáceres, Geraldo Lunas Campos, Víctor Manuel Díaz, Parady La, Renee Nicole Good, Luis Beltrán Yáñez–Cruz, Heber Sánchez Domínguez, and Alex Pretti. These deaths are not isolated tragedies. They are the consequence of violent and harmful immigration enforcement practices. We hold their names, their families, and their communities with care and grief.
