dropping pennies in the well
I sure hope you wish me well
raise my hopes up with fairy tooth tales
I won't sleep until my luck comes
and it wraps around and squeezes tight
and takes me to the place that never ends
where no one ever talks out loud
and they carry rabbits' feet
and their shamrocks rust in cans
and the fresh air cleans out all indiscretions
and everything returns to norm
