My dear friend and colleague, Nicki Koethner, MA, MFT, shares her professional wisdom with us about healing narcissism. She is a Somatic Expressive Arts Psychotherapist and a delightful soul offering her amazingly compassionate perspective to all of us. Together, we explore what narcissism is, how the narcissistic wound happens, how narcissism affects others' lives, how these tendencies get passed down through family legacy, and - most importantly - how healing happens! We move from the personal to the global with a look at culture, the role of nature, and how the arts support this healing process.

Nicki is a marriage and family therapist, educator, consultant and multi-media artist who specializes in transforming trauma into empowerment. She has a private practice in Berkeley, California where she sees clients in person as well as online in both English and German. She is adjunct faculty at Sofia University and the California Institute Of Integral Studies. She was a past ECC and board advisor to the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association. Nicki also facilitates healing ceremonies, workshops and rituals.
