Relationships Let's Talk About It!

49. Our Relationship With The Natural World

Listen Later

Counseling and connecting with people for over 30 years, Connie Burns is a body-centered psychotherapist who specializes in body and trauma therapies. She has a passion for teaching people how to reconnect with their relationships - relationships with their own bodies, other people, and the natural world. Connie was urged to act on her strong convictions about the current division and conflict happening in western culture as well as the imminent threat of climate change.

Connie joins me today to share the different ways that we are connected to the natural world and how this crucial connection affects us. We dive deep into how our culture has lost that meaningful sense of connection to who we are, how society is disconnected from the natural world, and the challenges it poses on our relationships with others. We also discuss the incredible benefits of being connected to ourselves, to others, and to the natural world as well as how it can take our relationships to a deeper and more authentic level.

“The sacred sons of omnipresent love - we don’t have access to that when we don’t have access to our bodies, and that’s tragic.” - Connie Burns
