The prayer before a crucifix is a great tool that we can use to keep our minds focused on Christ.

St Bonaventure says ""He who desires"to go on advancing from virtue to virtue, from grace to grace, should meditate continually on the Passion of Jesus." Everytime we pass a crucifix, we should pause, if time permits to reflect on his passion, and contemplate his wounds.
