With the rescue of Bani Isra’il in sight, Musa was told not to make the water return to its original state. As a result of Fir’awn and his troops persisting in their persecution, they were all drowned. As death was overtaking him, Fir’awn tried accepting faith—but it was too little, too late. The signs manifested before him were too many to ignore without consequence.
