You nicely and sweetly ask your son or daughter to put their phones down and you are met with resistance, rudeness, the eye roll, a shoulder shrug and ignored. Boom. You are ignited and triggered and believe that it is your child who triggered you, yes? THIS is the misunderstanding. I know…. you want to blame your child for triggering you so badly, and you do but it doesn’t go well does it. “So, if it’s not my child, then what is it that triggers me you ask, it has to be them?” Tune in and all will be revealed.
