This part of the tutorial explains programs and deterrents. Programs cost batteries to activate, and their effects are immediate. we have the general programs that targets specifically/generally, and the ones that stick to your mechs until a condition is triggered.
Deterrents are activated and stay on your side of the field with a question mark, waiting until your opponent triggers its activation condition. It's fool-proof as the card doesn't immediately enter your discard pille after activation, so your opponent can't check your discard pile to know what trap you left lurking. The card only enters discard pile after being triggered.
Unlike deterrents. the second type of programs have their effects visible if you hover over the affected mech.
