Sandra Torres is a bilingual journalist where she currently works as a morning and midday reporter for NBC 5 and Telemundo Chicago. Born and raised in Cali, Colombia, she moved to Chicago's Northwest suburbs with her family when she was a teenager. Sandra began her career in broadcast journalism in 2006, after graduating from Illinois State University with a bachelor's degree in Mass Communication and a minor in Spanish. Sandra is also a proud board member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists- Chicago Chapter. She is providing all the career advice that goes behind the scenes in the journalism industry + insights that will help embrace your unique path.
