The internet and globalization have greatly bridged the gaps in information and culture between nations in recent decades. Today, collaboration is in higher demand than ever, and physical distance is no longer a barrier to working together, thanks to the rapid advances in technology and data accessibility. Students are now encouraged to prepare for a future where face-to-face meetings may often be replaced by online discussions with colleagues worldwide. At the University of East Anglia (UEA), Dr. Liliana Harding has launched a Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) initiative, allowing students to work jointly on projects with peers from universities around the globe.
