Misogynoir is defined as the specific hatred, dislike, distrust, and prejudice directed toward Black women. Misogynoir comes in many forms and much like racism and homophobia, the hatred people belonging to this targeted group is not always overt. Devin and Morgan discuss on this episode of Don’t Be Pressed, the various ways in which Black men are often complicit in the tearing down of Black women. The ladies also discuss ways that Black men who love Black women can better support them by calling out misogynoir when it occurs.
