Dr. Jack Kevorkian (“Dr. Death”) assisted at least 130 people in exercising their “right to die” between 1990 and 1998, before being tried and convicted for murder in the death of 52-year-old Thomas Youk.
The most damning piece of evidence? A video that Kevorkian himself created and allowed to be aired during an appearance on the November 22, 1998 episode of 60 Minutes.
Did Kevorkian’s “patients” have the right to choose physician-assisted suicide? Did Kevorkian have a Hippocratic obligation to help these people end their lives?
