What does it truly mean to be a disciple? 

These are the words of Jesus from the bible.

18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, *even* to the end of the age.” Amen. (Matthew 28:18-20)

We are called to MAKE dsiciples.

But we must also discern assignments.

You're not called to serve everyone, but you are called to serve someone.

Learn to be a true disciple of Christ & be sensitive to the voice of the Holy Spirit.

A disciple has a teacher & Jesus is our master teacher.

16 Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to Him, “Rabboni!” (which is to say, Teacher). (John 20:16)

Disciples abide in Jesus & His word.

31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. (John 8:31)

Disciples love one another.

34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:34-35)

Disciples bear much fruit.

8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. (John 15:8)

Healthy starts with heal.

Jesus bled, so we don't have to bleed the rest of our life.

Let God heal you.

Learn to go through your process.

Because time doesn't heal all wounds, Jesus does.

5 Keys To A Healthy Disciple:

#1 Born Again
3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”(John 3:3)

#2 Find a local Holy Spirit Filled Ministry

24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. (Hebrews 10:24-25)

19 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” (Matthew 18:19-20)

#3 Attend bible studies weekly

31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:31-32)
Get discipled.

#4 Submit to spiritual covering & authority

7 Remember those who rule over you, who have spoken the word of God to you, whose faith follow, considering the outcome of their conduct. 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. 9 Do not be carried about with various and strange doctrines. For it is good that the heart be established by grace, not with foods which have not profited those who have been occupied with them. (Hebrews 13:7)

#5 Serve in your local ministry
