Ed Kemper was a giant and a genius. Carl Panzram was a visionary and a planner. They had nothing in common, except for their occupation: Serial killer.

Nobody ever sees it coming. We can only guess at the reasoning. Why would somebody kill, and kill again? What could they gain from the terrible acts?

When we don’t know why somebody kills, we don’t know who else could do it. And that makes all of us -any of us- a suspect. Or a victim.
