Aaaaaand we're back for another installment of Lady Killers! This week, we're talking about the cruel and terrible Nancy "Nannie" Doss.
A woman of many names and titles, this American serial killer was born Nancy Hazel to a poor, farming family on November 4th, 1905/06. After suffering a traumatic brain injury at the ripe young age of seven, Nannie grew to be an ill-tempered and murder-prone woman of deceit and terror. Just like our last featured Lady Killer, Nannie was fond of using arsenic to poison her victims, most of whom were close family members.
How did she get away with her killing spree for so long? Just what could have driven her to commit such crimes? Was she merely at the mercy of her brain injury, or was there something more sinister to her? We ponder these questions and more.
