As a result of the widespread distortion of the gospel, most Christians rarely discover the truth of their own fallenness, which in turn, means they never truly embrace Jesus as their all-sufficient Lord and Savior. They spend their entire life laboring under a distorted version of the gospel which cannot bring about true recovery from the ravages of sin, let alone true life and peace -Colossians 2-23-. They are in fact, alienated from Christ, estranged from fellowship with him by a depriviation of the truth. The only way out of that dark forest is to open your Bible and learn to read it well, and prayerfully, and pray for others to come into your life who will fellowship with you on the basis of the truth that is in Jesus Christ.
