The Bill of Rights is the enemy of big government/big brother because it limits the power of the government.  Obama even called the Bill of Rights a "charter of negative liberties."  He was a constitutional attorney who never studied law, before landing the role of POTUS.  But still, to see the Constitution this way indicates what most on the left believe but cannot articulate with the coded eloquence of Mr. Barry Sotoro; it's an impediment to them achieving their goals.  In other words, personal freedom, individual liberty and private property "rights" are a problem for the left.  In fact, the Bill of Rights itself is the enemy of the Left because it protects the individual.  With the Bill of Rights you are a citizen.  Without it you're a subject.  A Surf.
