5-Pandemic, Protests and Riots: Let's All Breathe Again

Listen Later

When I,  a 52 your old black man living in New York,  hear one brother plead, "I can’t breathe", suddenly,  I can’t breathe. I literally  and figuratively feel pressure on my neck,  chest and back. My ability to fight or flee become restricted, as if something or someone  were binding my legs.
If I am feeling like this, I know others are feeling like this pressure. How can you play, perform or fully function throughout the day if you are only taking partial breaths?
I wanted to take this time, although brief, and get myself and everyone to breathe deeply again.
- Breathing relaxes you
- Breathing helps you focus/concentrate
- Breathing eases muscle tension/fatigue
- Breathing decreases his anxiety and catastrophizing events
- Breathing helps to balance your blood ph
- Breathing improves your training and athletic performance
- Hopefully, this Let's All Breathe Again podcast will remind us that we are all connected in some way, shape or metaphysical fashion.
Let’s breathe again!
