Gavin Alberts is a high school student in his senior year. He has participated in vote16, a political advocacy organization that seeks to lower the voting age in municipal elections to 16 years old to help establish the habit that is voting. Gavin is interested in the ways that society operates, typically the interaction of the media and power structures, and also enjoys discussing these topics independent of one another. He grew up in Oklahoma, a red state, which is significant to his view points, and he chose to embrace postmodern liberalism. Related to his concentration on societal and media opinions, Gavin coached in a Lincoln Douglas debate, and some of his peers believe his ‘slay’ when it comes to therapy.
Gavin is also an avid and skilled rock climber, participating a various competitions. He loves food, is phenomenal complainer, a college applicant, and in need of math tutoring (I think he trying to ask me to help him with math).
Today we discuss postmodern liberalism, analyze communism and its history, and the necessity of religion in modern society.
