Disney's Demons

5. Peter Pan (1953)

Listen Later

In this episode, I am joined by Stacy Grouden as we discuss a film often revered as a classic but left us rather cold due to it's questionable depictions of relationships and gender roles. The impeding march of death is signified by a hilarious ticking crocodile and Peter Pan might be an actual psychopath that lives in your area.

Throughout this episode, we will discuss how looming threats (as opposed to actual, tangible threats) make the largest impact here, and how the real terror lies in simply being an adult.
Once again, we are reading way too much into this.
