In today's episode, we will fast forward to the period between the 1940s and 1980s - in post-independence India. 

I will share a story from my family's history while painting a larger picture of what life in the Indian tea plantations was like during those years.

We will travel through the many tea estates of Assam and follow the journey of a planter named Arun Prakash Datta, who happens to my grandfather. We will see him rise through the ranks, grow a family, and even get dragged into a bloody murder!
