Taylor celebrates fighting her first big grass fire on the back of the grass rig!
We go through the fire, her experience, & what our department learned from the call.
Here are the BASICS of what happened: We sent trucks to mutual aid to a wildfire in another department's district. The wildfire tracked roughly 8 miles southeast through crop and pasture land, starting around 130 pm and was eventually reported contained by 9 pm. Along the way, the fire crossed a Highway near the county line. No structures were reportedly impacted. At least 19 fire departments were involved.
