You cannot speak or teach others something you are not knowledgeable about yourself. If you attempt to do so, it will not take somebody who is more of an expert than you to call your bluff.
For example, if I say I am an expert on everything dealing with Disney World, and I never mention Mickey Mouse at all – that would raise suspicion that I may not know as much as I’m trying to convince you of.
So, “Know your topic” before you even attempt to speak.
